In the morning, two blessings are recited before Krias Shema and one is recited after it. The first blessing before Shema discusses nature and how G-d created and rules over all of nature. This is placed before Shema, because when we recite Shema, we proclaim G-d is the King of the Universe. After discussing all of the wonders of nature, we can now fully realize how Great G-d truly is. This is an important concept for us to focus on during this month because on Rosh HaShana, we proclaim G-d as the King of the Universe. We will be able to better focus on the Power of G-d by concentrating on these prayers.
