This week’s Parsha discusses the Halachos of Kohanim. If a Kohen becomes tamei, ritually impure, he is forbidden from performing the sacrifices in the Bais HaMikdash. The Gemara in Sanhedrin ads that just as a Kohen who eats terumah that is tamei, he is liable for death, so too a Kohen who performs the sacrifices when tamei is liable for death.
