The Gemara tells us the Song of the Day for Monday is Shir Mizmor Livnei Korach (Psalm 48) because the heavens and earth were separated and G-d ruled over both of them on the Second Day. Nevertheless, the psalm mentions Yerushaliyim because it is the seat of His holiness.
