In Psalm 148 (said every morning in Pesukei D’Zimra), we state “fire and hail, snow and vapor, stormwind, all fulfill His word.” Ever wonder why certain places have natural disasters while others do not. It is all from Hashem. Even when Hashem brings a natural disaster on a place, certain areas are not affected as badly as others. For example, in a hurricane, some houses get destroyed, while across the street, the same type of house stands tall. The reason is because Hashem wanted it to happen this way. He has His reasons.
