Negative Commandment #183

Sefer Ha’mitzvos Ha’Katzar (The concise book of mitzvos) By the Chofetz Chaim

This book lists the Torah mitzvos that can be observed today

Second Section – the Negative Commandments

183. It is a negative commandment “do not let the animal of a Jew crouch under its load and go on one’s way without helping to unload the animal”

As it states in Devarim (Deuteronomy) 22:4, “you shall not see the donkey of your brother or his ox fallen on the road and hide yourself from them.” (see Positive Commandment #70)

This applies in all places and at all times, for men and for women.
