Every morning, we recite 15 brachos to start our day. In one of them we state “Blessed… who prepares the steps of man.” A great rabbi once said what this means: The ground we stand upon is not really solid. It is like quicksand; we should fall right through it. Just before our foot touches the ground though, Hashem solidifies the ground so we do not fall through it. Therefore, what we should think about when we say this bracha is that Hashem takes care of us every step that we take.
