There is a fundamental principle in Hilchos Kashrus regarding “blios,” or taste of food transferred into utensils. The Parsha teaches us that an earthenware vessel which was used to cook a korbon must be broken. Unlike metal utensils which can rid themselves of the “blios” through heat, a earthenware vessel keeps its “blios” forever and must not be used again.
