Near the end of the Parsha we reach the halachah of the Korban Tamid, the continual offering brought twice daily in the Beis HaMikdash. Now that there is no Bais HaMikdash to bring korbanos, Chazal instituted the prayers of Shachris and Mincha to take their place. Maariv was enacted corresponding to the burning of the fats and limbs of the korbanos, that were able to be burned all night.
