Dvar Halacha On Parshat Terumah 1 27 2014 – 5774

In Parshas Terumah, the Torah tells us that the wood that was used to construct the Mishkan were standing right side up. Rebbi Shimon bar Yochai writes in Masechta Sukkah that this teaches us that all mitzvos must be performed with the object of the mitzvah standing right side up. The applies in particular to lulav ans esrog in which one must be careful to hold them in the correct direction to fulfill the mitzvah.
