We constantly hear about the great advantages of achdus, Jewish unity. Nonetheless, we rarely realize that it is a passuk from the Torah. The Torah in Parshas Reeh states, “Lo Tisgodedu,” which Reish Lakish explains to mean, do not make separate groups amongst yourselves. This is applicable in situations such as Chol HaMoed in which some peope wear tefilin and others do not. They should not pray in the same minyan in order to avoid machlokes.
