The Torah states in Parshas Noach states, “When I cover the land with clouds, the rainbow will appear in the clouds. And I will remember my covenant that is between Me and you… and there no more flood to destroy all flesh.”. This passuk is the source for the blessing we make upon seeing a rainbow, “who remembers the covenant, who is trustworthy in his covenant, and fulfills his word.” Therefore, it is incumbent on all of his to praise Hashem that no matter how lowly the generation can get, Hashem gives us the opportunity to do teshuva and will not destroy the earth again.
