One of the Halachos for a Kohen that is discussed in Parshas Emor is the qualities that the Kohen Gadol must have. The passuk refers to the Kohen Gadol as the “Kohen who is greater than his brothers.” Chazal explain that this includes not only spiritual greatness, but also that he must be greater in power, beauty, wisdom, and wealth. We see from here that a leader in Klal Yisroel must also have extraordinary physical grandeur in addition to his spiritual greatness.
