As we mentioned last week, davening with a minyan is very powerful. Davening with a minyan means that a person starts Shemone Esray, the Amidah, at the same time as the congregation. If a person shows up late, certain parts of the Pesukei D’Zimra can be skipped so the late-comer can start Shemone Esray the same time as the congregation. Although a person can skip certain parts, Baruch Sh’Amar, Ashrei, Yishtabach, and everything after Yishtabach are required to be said.
