Once there was a Chassidic Rebbe that could not get past the third word of “Modeh Ani” in the morning. He said “Modeh” – which means “thankful”. Then “Ani”, which means “I”. Finally, he said “Lefanecha”, which means “before You”. After saying this, the Rebbe could not go on. He said he imagined his lowly self (Ani) standing in front of the Powerful Almighty. When a person concentrates on these words, they are so powerful.
