Pausing before & after davening

A person should pause before they start davening so they can have proper focus. Also, they should wait a few minutes after davening so it does not look like davening is a burden. The Chofetz Chaim notes that the great Sages used to wait an hour before and after davening. For the people who are not the great Sages from the time of the Gemara (if you think you are one of them, sorry, but you probably are not) waiting a couple of seconds is sufficient. Therefore, we should all try to pause for a few seconds to focus on Hashem before we start davening . We should also try to stay after davening for a few seconds and learn some Torah so our davening does not seem like a burden
