Someone recently asked me if there is a mitzvah to buy products from a Jewish store. We have the answer in Parshas Behar. The Toras Kohanim states on the passuk, “When you buy from the hand of your friend,” that if one has the option of making a purchase from a Jew or a non-Jew, he should purchase from the Jew. Nevertheless, there are exceptions to the rule, such as when the Jewish store is greatly overpriced. For details, please consult your local Rabbi.
