The Gemara says an interesting halachah about Kiddush on Shabbos. One is required to mention yetzias Mitzrayim when making Kiddush. The source is from Aseres HaDibros in which the Torah writes, “In order the you will remember the ‘day’ you left Mitzrayim,” and the Torah refers to Shabbos as “the day.” Therefore, we learn out that one must mention the exodus from Egypt along with the remeberance of Shabbos during Kiddush.
