The Mishna in Mesechta Shabbos states that one is allowed to boil water to wash a baby with hot water even on Shabbos if it falls out on the third day after his bris milah. Normally, this is forbidden, but since the third day after the bris is the most painful and may present a danger to the life of the baby, it is permitted. The source for this halacha is our Parsha when Shimon and Levi attack the town of Shechem on the third day after they gave themselves a bris. Chaza”l explain that their decision to attack then is that the people of Shechem were weakest on the third day, and therefore easiest to conquer.
