The Gemarah in Masechta Chulin proves from a passuk in Parshas Shmini that the eggs of a non-kosher bird are not kosher. While discussing the various non kosher birds, the passuk includes, “The daughter of a Ya’ana.” The Gemara askes, “Does a Ya’ana have a daughter?” Rather, the Gemarah concludes that it is referring to the eggs of a Ya’ana, and expands this to include all eggs from such sources.
