Chaza”l learn a Halacha regarding the laws of inheritance from this week’s Parsha. The Torah refers to the 12 sons of Yaakov as brothers, even though they had different mothers. From here Chaza”l learn that specifically brothers who have the same father are considered brothers for inheritance, but not brothers who are related only through the mother.
