When the Parsha discusses the tahara process of a “Zov,” the passuk comments that he must clean his “entire flesh” in the mikveh in order to finish his tahara. Chaza”l in Masechta Eruvin learn from here that in order for a mikveh to be kosher, it must be big enough for a person to fit his “entire” body in it. Chaza”l state that this shiur is one “amah” wide, one “amah” long, and three “amos” high.
