In this week’s Parsha, we learn about tumas Ohel, the tumah which is imparted to a person who enters a tent in which a corpse lays. The passuk says, “A person (odom) who dies in a tent…” Rebbi Shimon Bar Yochai explains that the word “odom” refers to a Jew specifically and not the rest of the nations of the world. This opinion is brought in halacha, that only a Jew imparts tumah throughout an entire tent. As for the halachik ramifications, please ask your local Rov.
