The passuk in Parshas Bo tells us that every first born animal which “opens the womb” of his mother is to be given to Hashem as a korban.
Chaza”l teach us that the Torah specifically uses the term “open the womb”
to exclude a baby who was born through a Cesarean section, since he did not pass through the birth canal.
