The Gemara in Bava Basra learns from this week’s Parsha that when giving over an inheritance, a father must be careful not to give one child more than the other (besides the first born, which is mandated in Halacha). We see from Yosef’s brothers who became angry at Yosef for gaining favor in Yaakov ‘s eyes when he received the extra coat, that one must be careful not to make the same mistake.
