In Ashrei we see that Hashem is directly involved in giving people what they need. After praising Hashem for many verses, in the verse that begins with the letter ‘ayin’, it states, “The eyes of all look to You with hope and You provide them all food in the proper time.” Hashem does not assign any angel or messenger to provide for us, but he does it himself. That’s why our eyes look only to Him.
