The Lechem Rav states: in Aleinu, we state “Who did not make us like other nations.”
The word siach, which means land, is related to sicha, which means talk. When other nations pray, all they ask for is material benefits – all they ‘talk’ about is their ‘land’ bearing fruit. We are different. When we pray, we ask for the desires of Hashem. We pray for spiritual benefits – like the Beis HaMikdash being rebuilt. We are different from the other nations.
