The halachah states that the money paid for redeeming the first born, pidyon haben, must be given the a male Kohen and not a female Kohen. The source of this halachah is in this week’s Parsha. The passuk says “Give the money to Aharon and his sons,” which Chazal learn comes to exclude Aharon’s daughters.
