The Chofetz Chaim explains why we say the morning Brachos. The reason is because we are not allowed to benefit from this world without blessing Hashem for what He gave us. Before the bracha is recited, the item is Hashem’s and therefore it is Holy. If we partake of something from this world without reciting a bracha, it is misusing holy objects.
