On the nights of Rosh HaShana and Yom Kippur, after Shemone Esray we recite Psalm 24, L’David. One reason why we recite this is because this Psalm speaks of G-d’s mastery over the whole world, and on these Days, we declare G-d to be King of the entire Universe.
