Second Section – the Negative Commandments

95. It is a negative commandment “do not eat non-kosher fish”

As it states in Vayikra (Leviticus) 11:11, “they are an abomination to you, do not eat them.” Any fish that does not have fins nor scales is not kosher. One who eats an olive size amount of it receives lashes.

This applies in all places and at all times, for men and for women.
