We learn from this week’s Parsha that one has to be careful with what he says – lest it come true. The Midrash says that since Klal Yisroel said to Moshe Rabbeinu, “Did you bring us to the desert for us to die?,” they ended up receiving such a punishment as a result of the sin of the spies.
